Americo "Eric" Michael Meredith

AGE: 25 • Hockessin

Americo "Eric" Michael Meredith, age 25, of Hockessin, Delaware, died on Friday, March 31, 2017 at home.

Eric attended Ursuline Academy, St. Edmond's Academy, and graduated from St. Mark's High School. He worked with his father at Meredith Heating and Air Conditioning, and had a passion for working in the health and nutrition field.

As a young man, Eric excelled at all sports, especially baseball, basketball, and hockey. He was an avid music lover, and was known for listening to diverse genres at a deafening level. His booming voice and outrageous personality filled the room, just as his headphones did.

He was a member of the Training Center, a gym in New Castle, where he was dedicated to his own self-improvement, as well as teaching others. Eric was workings towards participating in a body building competition, and was looking forward to becoming a certified personal trainer.

Eric also spent the past 5 months catering to his daughter, aka his "perfection." He loved being a daddy, and his favorite times were spent holding her and bragging about her beauty.

He is survived by his fiancé Emilie Weldy, daughter Gianna Nicole, parents Doriane Renzi and John Meredith, sister Nicole Meredith and her fiancé Aaron Wonneman, grandparents Diane Renzi, Joseph Meredith and Betty Meredith and many loving family members and friends. He is preceded by his grandfather Americo "Elmer" Renzi and great grandmother Bertha Duncan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at noon at St. Anthony of Padua, 901 N DuPont Street, Wilmington, Delaware. Friends may call on April 7, 2017 from 10am - 12pm at St. Anthony of Padua. Entombment will be in Queen of the Apostle crypt at Cathedral Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Attack Addiction, PO Box 36, Bear, Delaware 19701.
