AGE: 85 • Middletown

Andy died on Sunday, September 20, 2015 following a short illness.

He was the son of the late Charles and Kathryn (Casey) Hutson. Andy was a graduate of Archmere Academy, class of 1949. Upon graduation, He enrolled in Goldy Beacom College. He also served his country in the Army Reserves. Andy was a dedicated letter carrier for the US Postal Service. Andy believed in service to the community. He was an acolyte for Msgr. Hopkins at St. Margaret of Scotland Parish for weekly Mass for fifteen years. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Hibernians. Andy also had a passion for UD Blue Hen Football.

Andy was preceded in death his brother, Charles; and sisters, Mary Louise Horner and Kathryn Hutson.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Catherine Desmond Hutson; sons, A. Thomas Hutson (Bobby) and John Hutson (Helen) ; his daughter, Peggy Bailey (Kirk); his grandchildren, Shannon and John Hutson, and Mark and Julie Bailey; and his great-grandson, Andrew Henion.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret of Scotland R.C Church, 2431 Frazer Rd, Newark, DE 19702, on Mon, Sept 28 at 11:30 am. Friends may call at the church from 10:00am-11:30am. Interment will be held in Cathedral Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions be made in Andy's name to St. Margaret of Scotland Church, or Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Center, 2nd Floor,Polly Drummond Shopping CenterNewark, DE 19711
