Annie-Prue Soulis Cooke Obituary
Annie-Prue Soulis Cooke

AGE: 80 •

Annie-Prue Soulis Cooke, 80, died peacefully at St Francis Hospital in Wilmington on April 13. Annie-Prue was born on September 27, 1936 in Allentown, PA, graduated from the Moravian Academy in Bethlehem in 1954 and married Charles Gordon Cooke Jr there in 1959. The family moved to Lancaster, PA where Mr. Cooke was an executive with Armstrong World Industries, and where they raised their three children Gordon, Melanie and Stephanie.

Annie-Prue's interest in fashion, and her gregarious and industrious nature, led her to open a women's boutique "Pappagallo" in Lancaster in 1978.

She relocated to Wilmington, DE in 1991 and reopened her store as "Annie-Prue Limited" in Glen Mills,

where it continues to thrive today under the direction of her daughter Stephanie. Countless ladies of this region have looked their stylish best in designs chosen by Annie's keen eye.

Annie-Prue was predeceased by her husband and two siblings and is survived by her children Gordon Cooke of Del Mar, CA, Melanie McGlade of Darien, CT, and Stephanie Jablow of Wilmington, DE, by her twin brother Bill Soulis and sisters Lenore Soulis-Flores, Jeanmary Colvin and Jaqueline Soulis, and by her five grandchildren. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice of Delaware, who provided enormous comfort and support to Annie-Prue and her family.
