In Loving Memory Of

Anthony Joseph (Jake) Duszak

1/26/1916 - 7/22/1967

50th Anniversary of His Passing

Jennifer Bernadette (Duzsak) Ferretti remembers her dad on the 50th anniversary of his passing. Anthony Joseph Duszak, best known as "Jake," passed away suddenly on July 22, 1967 the day after his wife Jennie's 50th birthday. Jake was a member of the U.S. Army and served in World War II with enormous pride. He was always ready, willing and able to help organize the Veteran's Day festivities at the VFW Club, Post #3257, on 7th Avenue in Browntown, along with his brother Bill, the manager. If any friend, relative or companion was ever in trouble, just see Jake and he was available with open arms to assist them in any way that he could. He was employed with Electric Hose & Rubber Co. up until the time of his death.

Dear Dad: I'm so very sorry that you couldn't be here to walk me down the aisle for my wedding day or get to see your grandsons Scott Anthony and Eric Christopher of whom you would be so proud. Also, your loving great grandchildren: Gianna, Anthony and Brianna whom you would never see. Although, your grandson - Christopher Louis '72 has been in heaven with you for the last 45 years. I know for sure, that you've been a loving Dziadz (Pop-Pop) and taking excellent care of him.

My dad, Jake, will always be remembered for his love of family, his good nature along with his whistling tunes and his kindness of giving to others.
