AGE: 83 • Galena, MD

Anthony "Tony" L. Caputo of Galena, Maryland passed away, after a courageous battle with Cancer, on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Christiana Hospital, surrounded by his family. Tony was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 19,1932. He was the son of Vivian and Gennaro Caputo. Tony was the Vice President of Operations at Brinks Warehousing, NYC. He was an avid reader who enjoyed his family, had a passion for sailing and was a great animal lover! Anybody who came in contact with Tony would eventually walk away filled with an exciting adventure from his past. He was a one of a kind special man loved by all.

He was predeceased by his daughter Deborah and his brother John Caputo. Tony is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth "Betty", daughter Susan Lieberman and her husband Howard, daughters Gail Caputo, Ph.D. and Theresa Caputo; son Peter Scarnato and his wife Erin, son Michael Scarnato and his wife Stacey, daughter Jill Scarnato; grandchildren Christopher Kellenbach, Dylan Scarnato and Gia Caputo. He is also survived by his brothers Richard Caputo and his wife Irene, Patrick Caputo and Gennaro Caputo and his wife Zita and his ex-wife Kathleen Caputo and many nieces and nephews.

Tony was a proud Veteran who served our Country in the Navy during the Korean War.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Saint Joseph Church, 371 East Main St., Middletown, Delaware. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the church followed by mass at 11:00 a.m.

Should friends desire, memorial donations may be sent to the in memory of Tony Caputo and the Humane Society of the US.
