Anthony P. "Tony" Alesi Obituary
Anthony "Tony" P. Alesi

AGE: 81 • Bear

Anthony "Tony" P. Alesi, age 81, went home to the Lord on May 24, 2017 while surrounded by his loving family. Tony was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Bear, DE 25 years ago. The son of the late Anthony and Rose Alesi, he developed his love of music and became a professional entertainer and performer. As one of the famous "Four Aces" singing group, he was blessed to have traveled the world. He built lasting friendships across the globe over his 65-year career in the singing and recording industry, including Elvis Presley, who was a fan. Tony was also a world-class drummer. Even after retirement, his passion for music persisted. He built a professional recording studio in his home where he enjoyed recording with his family and friends. His children carry on his legacy with amazing vocal talent as well.

Tony was a devoted family man whose greatest joy was the simple pleasure of time with his loved ones. Many happy times were spent gathered together singing, recording, and eating together. Tony often said that despite traveling across the world, he was most content drinking coffee on the patio with his beloved bride of 60 years, Lorraine. Tony leaves a legacy of love; he will be dearly missed.

Tony is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his children: Lorrie Alesi (Marty Walsh), Tony Alesi, Ralph Alesi (Andrea), Michael Alesi (Gina), Steven Alesi (Danielle), and Lisa Alesi; his sister-in-law, Dee Alesi; 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; and 3 nephews and a niece. Tony was preceded in death by his brother, Carl.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9:30-11:30 AM on Saturday, June 3 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 345 Bear Christiana Road, Bear, DE 19701. A Mass will follow at 11:30 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. For directions or to send an online condolence visit
