Anton worked at the Hotel DuPont, Franklin Plaza Hotel, Shop Rite, and Super G as an award winning baker and pastry chef. He often referred to himself as the "sweetest man in town." He was an active member of the First State Chefs Association, New Helvetic Society and Trinity Presbyterian Church. In 2006, he was awarded the Presidents Award for Distinguished Service from the Delaware Valley Chefs Association.

Anton is survived by his wife of 49 years, Gerda "Kelly" Sidler, daughter, Dr. Jessica Sidler Folsom (Matthew); grandson, William Folsom; brothers, Beat and Hansrudi Sidler and their families; and several adopted American family members and friends. A memorial service will be 11:00 am, Monday, November 23, 2015 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1120 Darley Road, Wilmington, DE 19810.
