Antonietta P. "Toni" Flocco Obituary
Antonietta "Toni" P. Flocco

AGE: 73 •

On July 11, 2016, Antonietta "Toni" P. Flocco was reunited in heaven with her husband Gabriele Flocco.

Toni was born on February 22, 1943 in Wilmington, DE to Italian immigrants Domenick and Concetta Gregori. They moved to the New Castle, DE area within the first few years of living in the United States. Toni used to babysit all the small children in Holloway Terrace where they lived. She went on to be a member of the first graduating class of the new Wilmington High School in 1961. Her first job was with Farmers Bank before moving on to working at Yardstick, a drapery and slip cover store, and eventually owned it. She then entered the real estate profession and was quite successful for many years. Never one to sit still very long, she then went to work for "Mr. Cawley" of MBNA. He put her in charge of the copy center where she worked with and mentored adults with disabilities until she retired. Toni was loved by everyone she met.

Family is what mattered to her most. She was the backbone and strength of her family. Toni found happiness in loving and supporting her family and friends. Cooking was her passion and she was the queen at making holiday dinners. Sunbathing on the beach was her happy place, you could find her on any given day soaking up the sun at Lewes beach. Toni lived such a full life and wore many hats throughout her lifetime; a wonderful wife, a loving and caring mother, and most of all a Nonna. Everybody will remember her as MY NONNA.

Toni was preceded in death by her husband, Gabriele Flocco; parents, Domenick and Concetta Gregori; and niece and godchild, Ashley Vadala. She is survived by four sons, Johnny Deldeo of Wilmington, Michael Deldeo and his wife Angela of Middletown, Gabriel Flocco Jr. of Wilmington, and Robert Flocco of Wilmington; six grandchildren, Jaclyn Deldeo of Milton, Samantha Flocco of Wilmington, Anthony Deldeo of Newark, Gabriel Flocco III of Wilmington, and Johnny and Cecily; two siblings, Domenick Gregori Jr. of Jensen Beach, FL and Angela Pacelli of Newark.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 9th and DuPont Sts in Wilmington, on Monday, July 18 at 11:30am. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Visitation will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to the Seasons Hospice Foundation, 8537 Solution Center, Chicago, IL 60677.
