AGE: 68 • Wilmington

Barbara (DiCampli) Jones Mackinder, 68 of Wilmington, DE peacefully passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born in Wilmington on August 15, 1948, daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary (Sard) DiCampli. A graduate of Conrad High School, class of 1966, she was employed as a tax consultant with H&R Block for more than 30 years. She was a faithful member of St. Matthew Parish.

Barbara made family the center of her life, and she often said "Without my family and my faith, I would have nothing". A true care giver, she was generous, loyal, trustworthy and possessed a take charge personality. Barbara loved the Christmas season, and her home could easily rival any department store with her meticulous decorating skills. She enjoyed ceramics, art and taking trips with her best friend, her mom.

Her husband, Robert G. Mackinder, passed away on October 28, 2004.

Barbara is survived by her children, Sherri Rapposelli (William Jr.), Joseph Jones, and Ryan Jones (Holly); her grandchildren, Maria and Nicholas Rapposelli, Taylor and Isaac Jones; her sister, Joyce Keeney (Mike); her brother, Joseph DiCampli; her sister-in-law, Kim DiCampli; her former husband and friend, Lester "Sonny" Jones; her aunt, Clara Cusack; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also predeceased by her brother, Benjamin "Franny" DiCampli.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Sunday, October 2 from 2:00-4:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Matthew Church, 901 E. Newport Pike, Wilmington on Monday, October 3 at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
