AGE: 80 • Hockessin

Barbara W. Hall of Hockessin, DE passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2016, surrounded by her family. Barbara was born in Wilmington, DE, the daughter of the late Horace A. Wahl, Sr. and Theresa N. Wahl of Centerville, DE.

Growing up in Wilmington, Barbara graduated from St. Paul's High School and then attended Goldey-Beacom College. Barbara retired from the DuPont Company after working for over 30 years. She devoted her life to raising her six kids and spending time with her 14 grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, shopping, time at the beach, and cooking for her family.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, James Edwin Hall, Sr. and her brother, James R. Wahl. She is survived by her daughter, Theresa H. Millis and her husband, Andrew of Wilmington; her son, James E. Hall, Jr. and his wife, Monica of Newark; her daughter, Stephanie H. Brackins and her husband, Russell (David) of Mississippi; her daughter, Deborah H. Dowling and her husband, Peter of Wilmington; her son, Matthew C. Hall and his wife, Kristy of Hockessin; her daughter, Jennifer H. Giovannini and her husband, Mario of Avondale; her sisters, Patricia W. Testa, Deborah W. Supinski; her brothers, Horace A. Wahl, Jr., Ronald C. Wahl, Charles E. Wahl, 14 grandchildren, Benjamin, Barbara, Kylie, Zachary, Emily, Tyler, Christian, Victoria, Peter, Matthew, Madeleine, Olivia, Joshua and Morgan and 3 step grandchildren Russell, Tyler and Reese.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at the Lower Brandywine Cemetery on Kennett Pike. Family and friends may call at Chandler Funeral Home, 7230 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin on Tuesday evening, October 25th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
