AGE: 84 • Greenville, DE formerly of Chadds Ford, PA

Betty Lehmer Fasick was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 1933 and passed away Sunday, July 30th, 2017. Betty is now happily reunited with her husband, best friend, and one true love, Ross W. Fasick, who passed from this earth just 14 days earlier.

Betty graduated from John Harris High School in Harrisburg in 1951 having been homecoming queen, prom queen, head twirler and majorette for the JHHS marching band. She was a sharp shooter, and a Pennsylvania state and regional archery champion.

Betty married Ross W. Fasick, her childhood sweetheart, in 1954. In 1955, they relocated from Harrisburg to Newark, DE. where Betty began working for the DuPont Co. Legal Department at DuPont Louviers while Ross attained his PHD. at the University of Delaware. Over the next 35 years of their life, the E I Dupont de Nemours & Co family was a priceless part of their lives with a long successful journey full of world travel, friendships and adventure.

While living in Delaware and Chadds Ford, Betty enjoyed her years as a volunteer with The Junior Board of the Christiana Hospital and as a volunteer tour guide for Winterthur Museum and Gardens. She was a proud philanthropist and made valuable contributions to support The Ministry of Caring, Wounded Warriors, Ronald McDonald House, and the Holiday Basket Brigade, just to name a few. Education was an important value to Betty and together she and Ross supported The Independence School with years of active participation while their 7 grandchildren attended. Through the years, their gifts to the school provided for various expansion projects and The Fasick Gallery will forever grace the school in memory of Ross and Betty. Betty also served on the Grandparents committee at the Tatnall School. She stood proud beside Ross as together their generosity provided funding for what is now known as the Fasick Bridge at Lebanon Valley College, Annville, PA.

Betty is survived by her children, Steven Fasick and Patty, Lisa Ramone and Michael. and Grandchildren; Christopher Fasick and Anita, Brittany Ramone Gomez and Ray, Moira Kostes and Rick, M. Ross Ramone, Ryan Fasick, Kevin Fasick and Nicholas Ramone, and great grandchildren; Madison Fasick, Benjamin and James Kostes.

Services to celebrate the life of Betty will be held at 1pm on Monday, August 7 at LOWER BRANDYWINE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 101 Old Kennett Rd, Wilmington, DE 19807 where visitation will begin at 12 noon.
