Branka Antonov of Wilmington, DE peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.

Branka was born in Zagreb, Croatia, daughter of the late Roman and Nada (Janic) Drevenkar, and immigrated to Venezuela at a young age. A graduate of Universidad Catolica Andres Bello, she received her degree in psychology and maintained her private practice in Caracas. Branka married her husband, Vladimir, and they came to the United States in 1984 for three years, and permanently settled here in 1989.

Branka was passionate about helping others, and took a particular interest in aiding the members of the Latino community. She was employed with Child Inc., the Latin American Community Center, Catholic Charities and lastly, the State of Delaware Division of Health and Social Services before her retirement in 2011. Her hobbies included cooking, painting, beading, and enjoying the breeze and sunshine on the sandy beaches of Aruba.

Branka will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 33 years, Vladimir Antonov; her children Alex Drevenkar (wife Julie Drevenkar) and Nathalie Antonov; and her granddaughter, Sophia Drevenkar. She is also survived by her extended family in Croatia.

Friends may visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Sunday, March 5 from 2:00-4:00PM. A Catholic funeral service will immediately follow.

Interment will be held privately.
