CARMELLA AMABILI Obituary
Age 78, of Hockessin, DE, died on Sunday, August 12, 2007, in the Sunrise Assisted Living, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Amabili was a self employed Beautician in Hockessin for 27 years. She was a member of Hockessin Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid bowler, and had bowled in many bowling tournaments, she was an avid gardener, and she enjoyed cooking and was known as a fantastic cook.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Louis J. Amabili; her daughter, Janice Amabili of Burlington, NJ; her son, Louis J. Amabili, Jr. and his wife, Bridgett of Salisbury, MD; her grandson, Louis J. Amabili, III; her sisters, Julie DelGrosso of Wilmington, DE, Rose Stengari of Kennett Square,PA and Toni Heinly of Creamridge, NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin on Friday, August 17, at 12 noon. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek, on Friday morning from 10-11 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hockessin Fire Company, 1225 Old Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE 19707.
