AGE: 68 • Milford

Cecelia L. Craig, 68, of Milford, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Anne Arundel Medical Center. Celi was born in Lewes, DE to the late William Warrington and Kathryn (Hazel) Craig. She graduated from the University of Maryland in 1980 and began her employment as a Clinical Dietician at Lutheran Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Celi began employment at Howard County General Hospital in 1986 and retired in 2011. Celi enjoyed supporting her son and daughters many sports, scouting and church activities. She had a lifelong interest in gardening, cooking, and sewing and created many beautiful pieces for family and friends. Celi enjoyed traveling and spent time in Canada, Greece, Scotland and Ireland. Later in life Celi developed a keen interest in genealogy and spent much of her time pursuing this passion and enjoyed the knowledge and relationships it brought to her. Most important to her were her grandkids and the many children that being a part of a large family brings with it. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Thomas Ogle; her sister Betty Jo Wilson and her husband Joseph Gaffney. She is survived by her 5 children Chris Ogle (fiancé Kelly Crawford) of Montgomery Village, MD; Rachel Leahy (Sean) of Chester, MD; Sean Gaffney (Mandy) of Burke, VA; Matt Gaffney (Kristin) of Staunton, VA; Becky Gaffney of New York, NY; grandchildren Finn Leahy; Patrick Gaffney; brother in law Kenny Wilson of Georgetown, DE; brother Bill Craig (Judy) of Milford, DE; sisters Karen Bell (Dave) Lincoln, DE; and Susie Webb (Johnny) of Greenwood, DE.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 4 pm at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. in Chester, MD, where friends and family may visit from 2-4pm. Online condolences may be made at www.fhnfuneralhome.com
