AGE: 84 • Wilmington

Charles passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, with his family by his side. Mr. Bramble was the son of the late Frank and Helen Bramble. Charlie was born and raised in Smyrna until they moved to PA when Charlie was 9 years old.

Charlie proudly served in the Air Force, missing his last year of high school to fight in the Korean War. He was stationed in Japan for 2 years; he was honorably discharged in 1955.

Returning home, he worked for Piaecki Aircraft while studying to get his GED from Chester High School. Charlie worked for American Viscose in Marcus Hook until a friend called to tell him DuPont was hiring. He started working a couple weeks later at Chestnut Run site, from which he retired after 26 years.

Charlie belonged to the American Legion #0134 and West End Boat Club both in PA and Loyal Order of Moose 1578 in DE. He enjoyed bowling with the DuPont league at Bowlerama in New Castle and enjoyed fishing and dancing.

He is predeceased by his son, Charles M Jr. (Chuck) in 1984; his brothers and their wives, William (Bill) in 2002 and his wife Barbara in 2015 of PA and Francis (Hap) in 2012 and his wife Janet in 2008 of VA.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine (Kay); his daughters, Maryella Titter and her husband Roger of Hockessin; their children, Jessica L Kaszeta, Frank Kaszeta, and Marissa Titter; Sandra Paoli and her husband Joe of Wilmington; their children Brittany Paoli, Michael Hamm, Jr, and MacKenzie Hamm of Wilmington. Also survived by his sister, Rebecca (Becky) Kohlerman, her husband Charles of PA and nieces and nephews.

There will be a viewing in the gathering space at St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church at 2503 Centerville Road, Prices Corner, Wilmington, DE 19808 on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from 10-11:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am in the church. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery on Kirkwood Highway, where Charlie will be laid to rest next to his son, Chuck.
