AGE: 28 • Dover

Charles "Chuck" Thomas Ballard, III of Dover passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016 as a result of a traffic accident, he was 28.

Chuck was born July 20, 1988 in Sarasota, Florida to Charles Thomas, Jr. and Wendy Anne Watkins.

He graduated from Dover High school where he played football and Lacrosse. He was studying audio engineering and was picked for a program at the Philadelphia Institute of Arts. He had completed an internship for 97.7 FM and won the "Miss Swamp Rat" contest. Chuck worked at Grottos Pizzas as a bartender. His infectious smile and sense of humor will be missed by all.

Chuck was a motivated, articulate and intelligent young man with a personality as big as his smile, he was the life of the party. He loved music, the Firefly, the Redskins and his family, sisters, and brothers, especially Christian, his brother and best friend. Chuck was deeply devoted to his family and girlfriend, Stephanie Hertz.

Chuck is survived by his parents, Charles T. Ballard, Jr. and his wife Kathy Lee of Dover, his mother, Wendy Davidson and her husband Jay of Toms Brook, VA; siblings, Christian Ballard, Caitlyn Ballard both of Dover, Clayton Ballard of Toms Brook, VA and Carly Ballard of Winchester, VA; grandparents, Bob Watkins of Manassas, VA, Diane North of Sarasota, FL, and Lois and Noble Cahall of Middletown, DE; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial services will be held 12Noon, Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to M.A.D.D.
