Dale Wayne Richmond, 46, of Wilmington, Delaware, died on January 27, 2016.

He was born in 1969, in Denver, Colorado, to parents Linda and Clifford Richmond. He grew up in an Air Force family, moving from Colorado to New Mexico to England and then to Dover. He graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in 1988. After high school, he attended the University of Delaware. While in college, he spent three years working in catering, and met the love of his life, Melissa Kirkpatrick. Dale's family was his greatest passion, and he loved nothing more than spending time with his wife and children. He was a lifelong avid Denver Broncos fan, and lived to see them win the AFC Championship again. He loved boating and fishing and spending time anywhere tropical. He was active with his son's Cub Scout and Boy Scout troops.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Melissa, and his children Alex Stephanie and Andrew Clifford, all of Wilmington. He was predeceased by his mother. He is also survived by his father Clifford and his wife Sondra of West Chester, Pennsylvania; sister Lynda Christi Seefedlt (Gary) of Chandler, Arizona; brother Russel Samuel Richmond of Milford, Delaware and grandmother Alice Bradley of Ansonia, Michigan. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews in Colorado, Nebraska, Michigan and Connecticut, Arizona and Delaware.

A celebration of Dale's life will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 3:30 to 5:30 pm at Wilmington Country Club, 4825 Kennett Pike, Wilmington, Delaware. Dale loved dogs and had tremendous respect for military personnel, so in lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to K9s For Warriors, 114 Camp K9 Road, Ponte Vedra, FL 32081 or
