AGE: 83 • Dagsboro

David Louis Hall, 83, of Dagsboro passed away at his home in the loving care of his family on October 12th, with his devoted wife at his side. He was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late John W. Hall, Sr. and Marjorie Prader Hall and raised in Bethany Beach and Ocean View. He graduated from Lord Baltimore High School in 1950, and served in the US Army Infantry as a Medic at the end of the Korean War. He also remained almost two decades in the Reserves after his Active Duty. David was a member of the American Legion Post 24 in Dagsboro. He was owner and operator of Circle D Cattle Ranch, and also worked for Delmarva Power and Light, National Cash Register, and the Delaware City Refinery as a mechanic while operating Hall's Machine Shop. He was a pilot and survived a plane crash in 1975. Most of all he was a devoted churchman, and charter member of the Dagsboro Church of Christ, and was a leader and Elder for the church. He loved history, volunteering for many organizations, was very devoted to his family, and loved raising cattle, chickens, and farming. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carolyn Hudson Hall and three children: Don S. Hall, and his wife Lisa, of Dagsboro; Dean A. Hall, of Dagsboro; and DE State Senator Bethany Hall-Long, and her husband Dana, of Middletown, DE. He also has two siblings: John William "Jack" Hall, and his wife Florence of Virginia; and Sandra Meeks, and her husband, Barry of Kentucky. Mr. Hall also has three grandchildren, of whom he was very proud: John R. Hall, and his wife Heather, of Dagsboro; Brock Long, of Middletown; and Hunter Ray Hall, of Dagsboro.

A time of viewing and visitation will be held at the Dagsboro Church of Christ, 28001 Dagsboro Road, Dagsboro, DE from 6 till 8 PM on Wednesday Evening, Oct 14, 2015 and again from 11 AM till 1 PM on Thursday, with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Evangelist Michael Mitchell will be presiding.

Interment to follow at Carey's Cemetery in Frankford, DE. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Beebe Medical/Oncology Services, Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation Center, Interim Health Care and Season's Hospice .
