Donald Paul Drummond Jr. Obituary
Donald Paul Drummond Jr.

Centerville - On Tuesday, July 31, 2018, Donald Paul Drummond Jr. (Don), a loving father, grandfather and husband, passed peacefully from this world. Don was born in April 1949 to Donald and Louise (Annelli) Drummond in New Providence, NJ. He attended the University of Dayton where he earned a degree in engineering and Southern Illinois University where he earned his MBA. In October, 1973 he married Susan Fleming of St. Louis, MO. Don and Susie raised a daughter and son, Danielle and Michael.

Don will be remembered for his sharp wit, wry sense of humor, and unpretentious style. Don was an avid and well-travelled golfer. He kept close ties over the years with college friends and fraternity brothers, former colleagues in the plastics industry, and his many cousins and extended family. Around the house, Don was a consummate do-it-yourselfer who had a passion for landscaping. Don's favorite pastimes included a lot of music and sports and, in addition to golf, the Grateful Dead, St. Louis Cardinals, and New York Rangers all featured prominently.

Don is survived by his wife Susie, his children Danielle (Jeff Lenderman) and Michael (Diana Csank), his granddaughters Addison and Paige Lenderman, his parents Donald and Louise, and his sisters Patricia Brown (Ellsworth), Peggy Fender (Terry), sister-in-law Stephanie Darrow (Leo) and brother-in-law Tim Fleming (Anne) and many extended family and friends.

A memorial mass will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, September 7, at St. Joseph on the Brandywine, 10 Old Church Road, Greenville, DE with a celebration of life party to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266, www.pancan.org, (310) 725-0025.
