Donald Ray Allred Jr. Obituary
Donald Ray Allred, Jr.

Donald "Dunkin" Ray Allred Jr., 48, of Claymont, Delaware was reunited with his mom, aunt and grandparents on Sunday, September 25, 2016 after a long well-fought battle with lung cancer.

Donald was born December 7, 1967 in Wilmington, Delaware to Mary (Clark) Hickey and Donald Allred. He attended Brandywine High School and received his diploma from Greensburg High School. At age 18, Donald joined the United States Army where he served honorably as a Fighting Vehicle Infantryman, earning his sharp shooter badge. In June of 2000, he and his fiancée welcomed into the world their twin girls, who became the light of their lives. On June 17, 2006 he married Lisa Mitchell. Donald worked as a union ironworker by trade for many years at Crescent Iron Works Local 502. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan, and enjoyed fishing. He enjoyed spending time out on the water in his boat, watching NASCAR races and spending time with family. Donald always enjoyed helping friends and family with any type of ironwork, electricity or carpentry work around the house.

Donald is survived by his wife Lisa of 10 years; daughters, Elizabeth Louise and Alexandra MacKenzie Allred; father, Donald Allred; brother, Michael (Jennifer) Allred; sister, Cherie Allred; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Special thanks to Seasons Hospice of Wilmington for their loving care and support. Also, thanks to the Gebhart Funeral Home in Claymont, Delaware.
