FIELDER BOWERS Obituary

Fielder "Peppy" Bowers

Of New Castle, DE passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and friends on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the age of 48.

Peppy was born in West Grove, PA, the son of the late Fielder and Katie (Still) Bowers, raised in the West Grove-Kennett Square area where he graduated from Kennett Square High School. Upon graduation from high school, Peppy was hired by General Motors at the Boxwood Road plant in the paint department where he continued to work until he was too ill to work. He completed 30 years at General Motors and was currently a coordinator in the paint department. Peppy was a dedicated and loyal member of the THUNDERGUARDS MOTORCYCLE CLUB for 21 years where he held the offices of President, Vice President, and he was currently the District Leader of The Pennsylvania Chapters, and a member of UAW Local 435. Peppy loved motorcycles and his family. He was a devoted and loving man whose family was foremost in his heart. Everything else came next. 11 years ago Peppy met his soul mate and loving wife Tess. They were inseparable. Peppy changed Tess's life completely and they have shared the most incredible 11 years together. Riding side by side on their motorcycles, sometimes holding hands, and always loving one another was their world. The sound of the engines, the roar of pipes, and the roadway was their paradise. Peppy was truly the man Tess most dearly loved and one day they will be reunited in biker's heaven.

Peppy will be sadly missed by those he loved and who will share in his memory, wife Tess Bowers; his 3 daughters, Kady Bowers, Genavee Bowers, both of Shreveport, LA and Lacey Bowers of New Castle, DE; his granddaughter, Skylar Whittington; his brother, William Bowers and wife Bess of Maricopa, AZ; his 4 sisters, Helen Purnell of Newark, Mary Coleman of Newark, Phyllis Easterling of Newport News, VA, and Rita Bowers of Wilmington, DE; his father-in-law, T.O. Brown, his brother-in-law, Charles Lewis; Erica Trout who Peppy loved as a daughter; Peppy's only sister-in-law Becky Harvey and husband Eddy, who loved and help care for him during his illness; 9 nieces and nephews, Andrea Lewis, Ronald "Speedy" Coleman, Brian Easterling, Jason Coleman, Mark Eastering, Jessica Lynn Harvey, Cristen Nicole Harvey, Jocelyn Greene, Jacquette Bowers; dearest friends to Peppy and Tess, Kim and Dingo Watson who also blessed them by asking them to be the God Parents of their son D.J. Peppy was predeceased by his sister, Charlotte Lewis, his brother-in-law, Morris Greene and his grandson, Gabriel Bowers.

Family and friends are invited to join Tess and Peppy's family at Peppy's viewing and to Celebrate his Life on Saturday, June 16, 2007, from 8 to 10 am at BEESON FUNERAL HOME OF NEWARK, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Fox Run (302) 453-1900. Peppy's funeral service will be at 10 am at the funeral home. We will then take Peppy back to Kennett Square, PA for interment at Union Hill Cemetery. Peppy's family will then go to the United Auto Workers Hall, 1304 Capital Trail, Cranston Heights, Wilmington, DE 19808 for a "Repass" and they asked everyone to please join them.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Bowers Grandchildren Fund c/o Del-One, 150 East Water Street, Dover, DE 19901.
