Frank Hubbart

Frank Hubbart, age 102, died peacefully at home on August 29, 2015 in Wilmington, Delaware.

He was born on October 22, 1912 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended Nether Providence High School. In 1943, he married Agnes Nelson. Over the expanse of his lifetime, he worked as a printer's apprentice in Media, Pennsylvania, an employee of Phoenix Steel in Claymont, Delaware, and later found his profession as a carpenter. He was a longtime member of The Carpenters and Joiners Local #845, Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania. He volunteered his skills with President Jimmy Carter's Habitat for Humanity project building homes for the homeless in Mississippi. He was a prodigious reader of classic literature, an avid follower of the stock market, a world traveler, and a lover of nature interested in camping, bird watching, and wild flowers. He was a Life Member and Fellow of The Delaware Valley Ornithological Club of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He was predeceased by his wife, Agnes, and his daughter, Alice McGinley. He is survived by his son-in-law and devoted caregiver, Ricardo Deola, daughter, Elaine Heyden, grandchildren, Alaine McGinley, John McGinley, and Carolyn Heyden, great granddaughter, Abigail Cocco, and son-in-law, John McGinley all of whom will miss his wit, intelligence, kindness, and love.

All services will be private.
