Age 82, of Newark, DE, formerly of Kennett Square, PA, passed away Friday, November 24, 2006.
Hazel was born in West Grove, PA and graduated from Kennett Consolidated High School, in 1943. She retired from DuPont, where she worked as a key punch operator and data processor.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph M. Whalen, Sr., and Anna E. Riddle; her first husband, William H. Taylor; and her sister, Marian W. Tattersall. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Garner Roy Morton; 2 daughters, Sherrie Taylor Shaner and her husband, Gary of Charleston, WV and Connie Taylor Low and her husband, David of Pike Creek, DE; 2 sons Michael L. Morton and his wife, Karen of Magnolia, DE and Scott G. Morton of Washington, DC; a brother, Joseph M. Whalen, Jr. and his wife, Connie of Clifton Forge, VA; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of family.
