AGE: 102 • Wilmington

Helen A. Coyle, age 102 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Cadbury Assisted Living in Lewes, DE.

She was born in Queens, NY on June 8, 1914 to the late William and Aimable Kaulbach. Helen was a graduate of Jamaica High School. She married her only love George T. Coyle and moved to Bridgeport, CT, where their first son Kevin was born. In 1943, they moved to Wilmington, DE and lived in the 9th Ward near Christ Our King Church. Her son Brian arrived the same year.

Helen was a wonderful homemaker and her cooking and baking skills were legendary. She taught crafts at Fraims Senior Center for over 10 years. Family and friends enjoyed handmade Christmas ornaments. Helen loved piano music, was an avid reader and enjoyed word games. She enjoyed watching baseball, March Madness and golf. Her wonderful sense of humor will be missed. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, George; a son, Brian Coyle; a brother, Ernest Kaulbach; two sisters, Margaret Casey and Mildred Marshall. She is survived by her son, Kevin M. (Josephine) Coyle; a sister, Aimable Hudela; a brother, William Kaulbach; daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Coyle; two grandsons, Kevin (Ellen) Coyle and Eric (Chrissie) Coyle; two great grandsons, Andrew Giles and Taylor (Mallory) Giles and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass will be held at 11 AM on Friday, December 9, 2016 at St. Helena's Catholic Church, 602 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE. Interment will be private.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Cadbury Rehab and Assisted Living in Lewes, DE for their excellent and compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Helen's name to , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
