Helen (Wilson) Bunitsky-Ulary Obituary
Helen Wilson Bunitsky-Ulary

AGE: 92 • Wilmington

After a full and rewarding life of 92 years, Helen departed this life the morning after Christmas, December 26, 2015. She was a loving wife, sweet and warm mother, a caring sister and aunt, and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother to her family; as well as a wonderful and trusted friend and neighbor. She took great pride in her beautiful home and yard, -- especially her dogwoods and azaleas. She loved to entertain a large crowd with a good meal which was always followed by some kind of game particularly playing cards. She was a member of several duplicate bridge clubs throughout the years. She always had a kind, supportive word, a ready smile, a generous spirit, and who could ever forget her special sense of humor; that at times involved playing a prank or practical joke on family or friends to always keep things lively.

Helen was born and raised in the Turkey Point area of North East, MD, to her parents, William and Mary Wilson. She attended the Southern Hart's Institute of Technology growing up, and also received a degree from Beacom College. She worked for Ralston Purina as an accounting secretary, until her children were born. She faithfully raised her sons at home, volunteering part time in the Lombardy cafeteria where her sons attended elementary school, and when they were grown had another career at Hercules Credit Union.

Helen was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Peter Bunitsky, Sr. She is survived by her three sons and their families, Father Peter, Jr. (Mary) and their children, Isaac (Dominique) and Great-Grandchild Giovanna, Dimitri, and Nina; Mark (Jessica) and their children Samuel, Katharine and Joshua; and James (Susan) and their family, Gretchen, Jason and Great-Grandchildren Mackenzie, Skyler, Anslee, Grace, Eli, Jaxson and Emma . She was also preceded in death by her second husband of 14 years, Charles "Cliff" Ulary, who had been an early childhood friend and neighbor, they became re-acquainted after almost 60 years.

Family and friends are invited to visit at CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 2506 Concord Pike for a calling, Wednesday evening, December 30, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Services are to be held at Chandlers on Thursday December 31, to begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Hart's Church, 3181 Turkey Point Rd., North East, Maryland.

Helen's sons would especially like to thank and recognize their Mother's and Cliff's three in-home care givers; Corlien, Patsy and Rachelle, and nurse, Tracie, who supplied loving care, joy and companionship throughout the last year of both of their lives.
