Howard Richard "Dick" Linton, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 15, 2016, with his family by his side.

Born on November 16, 1930, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Howard Gleason and Lillian Linton, Dick graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1948. Dick attended Western Maryland College, and was named to the All-American Soccer Team in 1953.

Among his many patented inventions were The Afflair Pigment Line and The Krolor Pigment Line. He developed the chemistry currently used in the manufacture of RPS (Rotile Paper Slurry), and developed a new line of electroconductive powders called Zelec ECP.

After retiring, he moved to Nokomis, Florida, where he enjoyed playing tennis, duplicate bridge, and traveling the world. Throughout his life, his greatest joy came from his family and the special times they spent together.

Dick was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather. He leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Doris Tuckwood Linton and children Patricia Sutter, Kathryn Pierpoint, Jennifer Holladay and Richard Linton. Also surviving are eight grandchildren.

A private memorial service is being planned for the family. Gifts in Dick's memory may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association at www.lbda.org or 912 Killian Hill Road, SW, Lilburn, GA 30047.
