James Joseph Becker, age 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Thursday, January 19, 2017. Jim graduated from Brown VoTech High School where he was the captain of the baseball and basketball teams, He proudly served in the US Army and played semi pro baseball. Jim married Jacqueline Donofrio in 1952 and they were married for 57 years until her passing in 2009. He retired from General Motors after many years of dedicated service. Jim was an active member of Corpus Christi where he served on the hall committee and later joined St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. He enjoyed visiting Delaware Park, tending to his flowers, and growing tomatoes and peppers.

Jim is survived by his children: Linda Huhn and her partner Dave, Michael Becker and his wife Chris, and Terri Lenhoff and her husband Mark; grandchildren: Kimberly (Brian), David (Kannitha), Rachael (Will), Stephen, and Christie; and great grandchildren, Jack and Brian. Jim is also survived by his brother, Robert and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Emma Becker; brother, William; sister, Kathryn, and sister-in-law, Dorothy.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017, from 10:30-11:30 AM at Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home followed by a service in celebration of Jim's life at 11:30 AM.
