AGE: 51 • New Castle, DE

Jeffrey M. Bobjak, Sr., age 51, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017

Jeff was a Facilities Shift Superintendant for Philadelphia Energy Solutions, (formerly Sunoco). He started as a draftsman in 1992 at the Coastal Eagle Plant in Westville, NJ and over time worked various positions in the refinery business.

He loved photography, astronomy and was a hockey enthusiast. His real passion was watching his kids participate in their sporting events. One of his biggest thrills was becoming friends with his childhood idol, Flyers great, Reggie Leach. He left a lasting impression in the hearts of all the people he came in contact with.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Susan Sperduto Bobjak; his children, Jeffrey Jr. (Kelsey Chambers), Evan (Kristen Erb) and Molly (Craig Smith); his brother and sisters, Susan Sweeten, Jack Bobjak and Sandy Bast; his brother in law, Joe Sperduto, his mother and father in law, Joe and Judy Sperduto and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition, he is survived by his lifetime friends, Steve Cavett and Chris Krawice.

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Alda Bobjak.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 18 from 5-8:30 pm at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek. A celebration of Jeff's life will be on Thursday January 19 at 9 am. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Bobjak children's educational fund, c/o the Community Powered Federal Credit Union, 1758 Pulaski Hwy., Bear, DE 19701. Attn: Doris Davidson.
