Joan (Bayer) Siler Anders, 77, of Venice, FL formerly of Newark, DE and Baltimore MD died on October 12, 2015. Funeral Mass to be held at ST. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hydes MD October 26, 2015 at 10:30am. Born in Baltimore MD to the late Joseph and Hazel (Kane) Bayer. Joan will be remembered for her love of family and her strength to overcome adversity. She was never afraid to try something new. Whether it was rehabbing a house or going back to school to become an LPN after age 50! She traveled to all 50 states, Europe and China. She loved Christmas and spent many hours making it magical for the kids creating a lot of beautiful family memories. She believed the more the merrier made the holidays brighter! She was employed at Venice Hospital and Bon Secors from 1982-2003. Prior to moving to Florida in 1982, she volunteered at St Mark's High School and Holy Angels School in Delaware. She previously worked at General Electric Credit Corp and Baltimore Gas and Electric.

Surviving are her daughter, Kimberly (Tim) Werla of Venice, FL, Son, Timothy (Staci) Siler of Aiken, SC, Sister Anne Engen of Port Angeles, WA, Stepsons; Michael (Darlene) Burba of Lancaster, OH, Robert Anders of Jasper, IN, Greg Anders of Venice FL and Alan Shepard (Kathy) of Newark, OH. Stepdaughters Rajeana Anders of Sarasota, FL and Janine Siler of San Antonio, TX, Claudia (Earl) Neuhauser of Clermont, FL and Rebecca (Gary) Whited of Cullman, AL; Six grandchildren; TJ Siler, Nicholas Werla, Katherine Werla, Jennifer Siler, Maria Siler and Anne Siler. She is preceded in the death by her husband, Robert Anders; daughter, Jennifer Siler; Brother, Rev. Edward Bayer; twin Sister, Jean Gallagher; sister; Mary Ellen Bayer and granddaughter; Stephanie Siler.
