Joseph S. Rizzo, Sr.
AGE: 71 • Wilmington
Joseph S. Rizzo, Sr., 71 of Wilmington, DE., peacefully passed away in the comfort of his home with loved ones on Saturday, March 22, 2014. Joe was born in Wilmington on August 23, 1942, son of the late Angelo and Josephine (Ariganello) Rizzo.
A bricklayer by trade, he was a member of Bricklayer's Union Local #1, and later founded his own general contracting business. Joe was a member of St. Matthew's Parish and was a past coach for the Claymont Falcons and the Claymont Little League.
His wife, Ann Marie (Corrigan) Rizzo, passed away on October 6, 2012; and his son, Joseph S. Rizzo, Jr., passed away on December 11, 2010. Joe will be dearly missed by his daughters, Kim Rizzo and Kelly Rizzo (fiancé, Chris Roberts); and his grandchildren, Phillip, Eric, Skyler, Joseph and Santino. He is also survived by his sister, Grace Rizzo; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Thursday, March 27 from 5:00-7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Matthew's Church, 901 E. Newport Pike, Woodcrest on Friday, March 28 at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.

I was so sorry to read that your dad had died. I went yo school with both your dad and mom. I remember so many fun times we had. I am sure you have so many happy memories to help you.
