Joseph V. Majewski, jr.

AGE: 83 • Wilmington

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 22, 2016.

Joe was born in Wilmington to the late Sophie (Grodzicki) and Joseph V. Majewsi, Sr.

He was employed at Scott Foam in Eddystone, PA retiring in 1995 after 20 years of dedicated services.

Joe loved to travel and spend time away with his wife, Terry. He was an avid Eagles fan and greatly enjoyed all Philly sports. However Joe's favorite pastime was being with his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with them at the beach and was always their biggest cheerleader at all of their games.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa "Terry" Fioravanti Majewski; his brothers, Edward and Henry Majewski; and his sister, Delores Majewski.

He will be dearly missed by his children and their spouses, J. David Majewski Sr., (Karen) and Joann Powell (Ed); his beloved grandchildren, John Powell III, J. David Majewski, Jr., and Emily Majewski. Joe is also survived by his brother, Ted Majewski (Millie); his sisters-in-law, Kathleen Majewski and Mary Majewski; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church 521 Harmony St., New Castle, DE 19720, on Friday, May 27 at 11:00 am. Friends may call at Krienen Funeral Home, 34 W. 6th St., New Castle, DE 19720 on Thursday May 26 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Interment will take place at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Wednesday, Jun 1 at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in Joe's name to Goodwill Fire CO. 401 South St., New Castle, DE 19720
