AGE: 91 • Wilmington

Josephine A. (Dominelli) Dal Bello, 91 of Wilmington, DE peacefully passed away with her loving daughters by her side on Wednesday, April 6, 2016.

Josephine was born in Wilmington on October 15, 1924, daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Colombo) Dominelli. A caring and devoted homemaker, she was employed for three years with Discover Card. She and her husband, John, were active members of St. John the Beloved Parish. Josephine was also active with Mid County Senior Center, where she enjoyed bingo and time with her friends. She was a very talented baker, especially known for her Christmas cookies, and prepared delicious Italian dishes. For the last two years, Josephine was happy to reside at Manor Care on Foulk Road, where she enjoyed a wide range of activities and the company of new friends.

Her beloved husband of 52 years, John A. Dal Bello, Sr., passed away on September 14, 1999.

Josephine is survived by her daughters, Donna McMackin and husband, Jim, and Dolores Collins and husband, Paul; her son, John; her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Rose Bruno; her brothers, Joe, Frankie, Sonny and Anthony Dominelli; and her step mother, Rosarina Dominelli.

The family would like extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and aides at Manor Care and Heartland Hospice House for the love, care and compassion given to Josephine.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Tuesday, April 12 from 9:00-10:30AM. Funeral services will begin at 10:30AM, with interment following in All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Josephine may be made to Heartland Hospice House, 5661 Ocheltree Lane, Wilm., DE 19808, or the Ministry of Caring, 506 N. Church St., Wilm., DE 19801.
