AGE: 87 • Dover formerly of Wilmington

Josephine A. (Buonanotte) Scatasti, 87, of Dover, DE, formerly of Wilmington, peacefully passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016.

Dolly was born in Wilmington on September 8, 1928, daughter of the late Rosario and Mattea Buonanotte. A loving and devoted homemaker, she was also employed with Hoys 5 & 10, Serpe's Bakery and Federal Bake Shop. Dolly was a long time member of St. Elizabeth Church and the parish BVM Sodality.

Her husband of 58 years, Joseph E. Scatasti, passed away on July 5, 2005.

Dolly will be lovingly remembered by her children, Rosanne "Rocki" Outten and her husband, E. Stuart, Jr. and Joseph A. Scatasti and his wife, Joanne,; her granddaughters, Joanna Leigh and Jacqueline Ann Scatasti; and her sister, Masina DiPatre. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and their families.

Dolly was predeceased by her sisters, Millie Budynkiewicz and Lee Mettler.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation at St. Elizabeth Church, Cedar and Clayton Streets, Wilmington on Thursday, July 14 from 9:00-10:15AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
