Joyce C. Hall, 67 years old of West Chester, PA, died suddenly Saturday, May 27, 2006 at the Chester County Hospital.
She was the wife of, John L. Hall Sr., with whom she shared eighteen years of marriage.
Born October 12, 1938 in Magnolia, Texas, she was the daughter of the late William Claude Collier and the late Violet Ann Fairbrother Collier.
Her family relocated to Kennett Square in 1940 after the death of her father.
She was a 1956 Graduate of Kennett Consolidated School and a 1960 Graduate of the University of DE. Married in 1960 to the late Robert W. O'Neill, they remained in Kennett Square until 1968 then moved to West Chester to raise their children. She was a member of the Elks Club, West Chester Senior Center and the Radley Run Country Club. Being artistic she enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, reading and writing stories with her grandchildren, playing the piano, listening to music, playing bridge and loved to travel.
She had worked as a Branch Manager for Commonwealth Federal Bank. Previously she worked for ICI of Delaware and was a teacher's aide for the Chadds Ford Elementary School.
In addition to her husband she is survived by 2 sons, S. Thomas & wife, Ann O'Neill of Kennett Square, PA; Patrick W. O'Neill of Newark, DE; 1 daughter Kathleen O. & husband, Robert Singleton of West Chester, PA; 2 brothers, Thomas F. & wife, Rosemarie Collier, New Castle, DE; Richard W. Sr., & wife, Barbara Collier, Wilmington, DE; 1 sister, Mary E. Morris, Wallingford, PA; 2 sisters-in-law, Anne Collier, Wilmington, DE; and Lela Collier, Hermiston, OR. ; 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: William A. Collier, Joseph M. Collier and James B. Collier.
Relatives and Friends are invited to her Funeral Service 11 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2006 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 10 W. Pleasant Grove Road, West Chester. Visitation 10-11 AM on Saturday at the church. Interment Birmingham-Lafayette Cemetery, West Chester, PA.
