AGE: 62 • New Castle

Kennisa L. O'Donnell, age 62 of New Castle, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Aiken, SC, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Virginia (Sams) Eggleston. Kennisa worked as an administrative assistant for Citibank.

Kennisa dedicated her time to serving others. She spent countless hours volunteering with the , the Ronald McDonald House, the Salvation Army and most notably, the March of Dimes - where she participated in the March for Babies for over 30 years. She also enjoyed baking; mostly cupcakes that she would sell and then donate the funds back to the many charities which she supported. Kennisa was very crafty at home, whether helping her children and grandchildren with school projects, costumes, etc. She also enjoyed taking trips to the beach. Her most cherished memories are of time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Kennisa is survived by her daughters, Ashley August and her husband, Brian and Erin Noonan and her husband, Michael; her beloved grandchildren, Tyler, Madeline, Cameron, Liam and Jameson; her sister, Kendra Eggleston; and her nephew, Trevor Eggleston.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Eggleston, Jr.

Family and friends may visit from 5:00 - 7:00pm on Monday, September 14th, 2015 at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek where a funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, September 15th, 2015. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
