Laura Porter Obituary
Laura Judith Porter, age 75, passed away on November 21, 2013.
Judy spent over 15 years as a member of the Cannons Bakery family. She was a makeup artist for Delaware Children's Theatre and Brandywiners, Ltd, where she was also a life member. Judy was also a member of the PEO Sisterhood, Chapter G.
She is survived by her daughter, Kellye Porter-Martin (Dale Martin) with whom she lived; son, Patrick Porter (Cindy) of Elkland, MO; sister, Hazel Painter; grandchildren, Grayson, Sean and Tina; and niece Abbie Painter and her daughter, Macy.
A memorial service will be held, 11:30 am, Sunday, December 8, 2013 at the Avondale United Methodist Church, East 3rd and Chatham Streets, Avondale, PA 19311. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Delaware Children's Theatre, 1014 Delaware Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19806 or Brandywiners, Ltd., 2313 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803.

Kellye & Pat -
Growing up she was very much our second mother. Fun, loving & indulgent, she always had out backs and was not shy about whacking our backsides if we needed it. LOL! Even today we reminisce fondly of her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families at this difficult time. The ethereal world is all the better for having her light mixed in it now!
