"Andy" Brackin

Lawrence Ashton Brackin, age 75, of Blain RR#1, Blain, PA, died Friday, April 1, 2005 in Harrisburg Hospital.

Andy was born January 13, 1930 in Landenburg, Chester County, PA to the late Raymond A. and Edna Pyle Brackin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia E. George Brackin in March 1997; a son, Gary A. Brackin who died in January 1996; and 2 brothers, Raymond Brackin and Harold Brackin, Sr.

Surviving are 4 children, Vickie Lynn Salyers of Roan Mountain, TN, Steven W. Brackin of Aurora, Ontario, Canada, Ronald G. Brackin of Loysville, PA, and Judy A. Maxfield of Charlestown, MD; a brother, Robert Brackin of Kemblesville, PA; 8 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter.

Andy was a retired, self-employed mushroom farmer and co-owned the former Andy's Kountry Kitchen in New Gormantown, PA with his late wife, Pa.

Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, April 6 at the NICKEL FUNERAL HOME, 3626 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville, PA with the Rev. Robert Koch officiating. Burial will be in the Blain Cemetery. The viewing will be from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
