LeMoyne "Lee" Allen Schroeder

AGE: 88 •

LeMoyne "Lee" Allen Schroeder passed away at the age of 88 at the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital on January 1, 2016. Lee was born in Holbrook, Nebraska and grew up in Oxford, Nebraska, the son of Bula Mae Kline Schroeder and Edmund George Schroeder, and brother to DeLoris Schroeder Russell, who predeceased him, and Gary Schroeder. Lee retired after 42 years of dedicated service to his country, initially in the Army, and then as a civil servant with the Department of Defense in various positions in and around the Washington, D.C. area. Lee served his community throughout his life, coaching boys' and girls' softball teams, and most recently as an active member of the Woodland United Methodist Church.

Lee is survived by his loving wife, Janet Pryde Schroeder, and his 3 children, Margaret "Peggie" Neal and her husband Jimmy Neal, Barbara Schroeder Parker, and James Schroeder; his grandchildren, his great grandchildren; and his brother, Gary Schroeder and sister-in-law, Carol Schroeder, their children and families.

The family will be welcoming visitors at Woodland United Method Church, 5123 Woodland Church Road, Seaford, DE 19973. The viewing will be on Friday, January 8, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. and the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Church immediately thereafter. Burial will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE. The family suggests donations to Woodland United Method Church in lieu of flowers.
