Lillian G. Reilly, age 99 of Wilmington, Delaware, died on Sunday March 6, 2016. Born in 1916, she was the daughter of John and Anna Mae Germes of Philadelphia. Home-schooled in her earliest years, she graduated from Frankford High School, Philadelphia. She briefly attended business college, leaving to work in the business of her father's family, in Paterson and Pitman, New Jersey.

In 1940, she married Vincent E. "Pat" Reilly also of Philadelphia. They lived briefly in Bound Brook, New Jersey, then in 1941 moved to Wilmington, Delaware. She worked part-time as a bookkeeper until she, along with her husband, co-founded and ran The Indian Village Day Camp which they operated very successfully for 17 years.

Mrs. Reilly was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Christiana Hundred. She taught first grade in the church school for 38 years, and worked in the Altar Guild during the same 38 years. After helping to start the Intercessory prayer group which has met weekly since 1956, she continued to read there faithfully until last summer. She also served as President of the Women of Christ Church and Chairman of the Green Show. After her husband retired, she joined the Congregation of Immanuel Episcopal Church in Wilmington.

Mrs. Reilly travelled widely with her husband, enjoying particularly accompanying him on his fellowships to observe, study and if possible benefit from educational systems in Europe, particularly in Russia and the United Kingdom. In 1971, however, he accompanied her to the World Conference on Urban Renewal held in Romania, Hungary and Sweden.

Mrs. Reilly was a long-time volunteer at Children's Beach House where she was also on the Board of Directors from 1970-1984. She was a Trustee of Christiana Care Health Systems from 1970 until her death.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 73 years, Dr. Vincent E. Reilly. She is survived by her sons Dennis (Linda) of Sidney, Iowa and Jonathan of Manhattan, New York; by 15 grandchildren and great grandchildren; by 5 nephews and by Lillian's Helpers.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Church Christiana Hundred, 505 E. Buck Road, Wilmington, Delaware ( at 2:00 pm on Saturday April 9, 2016.
