Louis "Lousy" Brandi died suddenly after suffering an accident at home on Tuesday, January 12, 2016.

Born in Wilmington, DE on June 21, 1933, Lou was preceded in death by his parents, Emidio and Amalia Brandi; four brothers, James, Mario, Philip and Rocco; and one sister, Clothilda DiGuglielmo.

Lou is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Peggy Sue (Haynes) Brandi; seven nephews, six nieces, and three great nephews. Lou and Peg were each other's best friend and shared a strong bond and commitment which never wavered from the time they married.

A native Delawarean, Lou resided in New Castle County for more than 38 years, and spent the last 8 years residing in Smyrna. He was a very proud Air Force Veteran and served our country during the Korean War. Lou retired from the Blood Bank of Delaware in 1998.
