Louis E. Kraft III, age 82, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at home on December 8, 2016 with his family by his side. Born on April 26, 1934, he spent his early years in Ellicott City, MD, before relocating to Newark, DE in 1955 to partner with his father in business. In 1960, Lou joined the DuPont Company, retiring after 34 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Lou was blessed to spend summers in Ocean City, NJ and winters in Florida, with his wife, Sandy, by his side. He was an avid sports fan, coaching his sons for many years in the Newark area. His greatest legacy was his faith and his family.

Louis is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Sandra; his children: Kari Jones (Alan) of Middletown, DE, Laura Gribbin (Daniel) of Westfield, NJ, Skip Kraft (Lisa) of Salisbury, NC., Jeff Kraft (Kelly) of East Greenwich, RI, and David Kraft of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by his step-sons, Ed Brady (Kim) and Rich Brady (Lisa); his sister, Carol Ann Walker; and his nieces and nephews. Lou's pride and joy were his 17 grandchildren: Erin (Kyle) Mueller, Megan (Ted) Ryskoski, Devon (T.C.) Jacob, Turner Jones, Joshua Gribbin, Jonnie Gribbin, Elizabeth (Justin) Webb, Julia Kraft, Louis Kraft V, Jeffrey Kraft, Robert Kraft, Marielle Kraft, Ella Kraft, Ashley Brooks, Joseph Brady, Rylee Brady, Michael Brady, and 8 great grandchildren: Isabella and Adaline Ryskoski, Jacob and Addison Mueller, Harper Jacob, Lucy Webb and Jack and Cole Kufta. Lou is predeceased by his parents, Louis and Martha Kraft, and his brother Andrew Kraft.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday evening, December 14 from 7-9 PM and again on Thursday, December 15 from 9-10 AM at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church, 7 Mount Lebanon Rd, Wilmington, DE 19803. A service in celebration of Lou's life will be held at the church on December 15 at 10am. A private burial will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
