Lucille J. Lenick, 77, Wilmington DE, formerly of Cass Township, PA, died Thursday at Seasons Hospice, Wilmington DE where she was cared for by her great niece Jamie Johnson RN and the caring nurses of Seasons and Delaware Hospice. Born in Pottsville PA, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Helen Pellish Kovalevich. She was the valedictorian of the Cass Township High School Class of 1956. She attended Penn State and the Ford School of Business before her marriage in 1958. Later in life, while raising a family and working full time as a legal secretary and later as a paralegal, she obtained her accounting degree from the University of Delaware. She went on to work as an Estates and Trust Administrator for two law firms in the Wilmington and Philadelphia area, retiring from Potter Anderson and Corroon working for her 'baby boss' Scott Waxman. "Lucy" loved country music, dancing and her large family and friends. Her favorite place was Knoebel's Grove where she spent summer vacation for 30 years with her family and friends. She was considered mom to many more then her three children, especially her sister Michele whom she raised. She was always ready and willing to lend a hand, time or an just an ear to anyone in need. She and her husband took in many who were down on their luck and gave them a chance at a new start.

Preceding her in death were her brother, Walter Kovalevich, in 1999; her stepfather, John Trasatt, in 2013. She is survived by her husband and best friend, Theodore "Ted" Lenick; three daughters, Shelley Lenick-Watts (spouse, Timothy), Wilmington, Lisa Dowdy (spouse, Michael), Robesonia, and Melissa Zula (spouse, Richard), Buck Run, Foster Township; five granddaughters, Jessica Lauren Dowdy, Natalie Lenick Dowdy, Mackenzie Katherine Dowdy, Rachael Elizabeth Zula and Lauren Grace Zula. She is also survived by a sister, Michelle Gannon (spouse, Robert), Hockessin, DE; a sister-in-law, Rosemarie Kovalevich, Newark, DE; and many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at Noon in St. Matthew the Evangelist R.C. Church, 135 Spruce Street, Minersville. Friends may call at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury Street, Minersville, on Thursday from 6:00 P.M. and on Friday from 6:00 A.M. until 11:15 A.M. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township, PA. A memorial service will be held at a later date in her adopted hometown of Wilmington Delaware. Date to be announced.
