Lucy A. Robino

Lucy A. Robino, age 94, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016. Born in Holyoke, MA, Lucy moved to Wilmington, DE at a young age with her parents, the late Rocco and Frances (Saienni) Rossi. Lucy was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. She attended the Novena to the Miraculous Medal every Monday night with her beloved husband, Charles.

Lucy worked for the DuPont Company for 25 years and retired from the General Services Department. "Mom Mom Lucy" enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was very proud of their accomplishments. She and her husband loved taking long walks together, always while holding hands. Lucy was a member of the Fraim Senior Center and volunteered at the Ministry of Caring. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles in 2005, and her siblings, Paul, Pasquale, and Dominic.

She is survived by her son, Charles Jr. (Marianne) of West Chester, PA; three grandchildren, Robin King (David), Gregory Robino (Heather), and Laura Steidle (Jeffrey); 6 great-grandchildren, Ryan and Michelle King, Andrew, Nathan, and Gabrielle Robino, and Blake Steidle; along with numerous nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law, Kathryn Rossi. The family wishes to thank the staff at Brandywine Senior Living at Longwood for the wonderful care Lucy received while living there this past year. Also, the family thanks Holisticare Hospice of Berwyn, PA for aiding in her care for the last few months.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4th and Bancroft in Wilmington, on Wednesday morning, February 17 at 10:30am. Entombment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the CHARLES P. ARCARO FUNERAL HOME, 2309 Lancaster Ave in Wilmington, on Tuesday evening, February 16 from 5-7:30pm and again the following morning from 9-10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Lucy's memory to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 301 N. Bancroft Pkwy, Wilmington, DE 19805. (302) 658-9095
