Margaret was a long time resident of Frankford where she lived with her husband and three children following her husband's graduation from the University of Delaware in 1952. Margaret was a member of the Frankford New Century Club where, during her presidency, her efforts led to the creation of the first PTA at John M. Clayton School. Before her marriage she worked in Philadelphia for the Sun Oil Company and was known for her love of dancing to the big bands. She had extensive collections of records and autographs of the recording stars of the time. She enjoyed helping her husband remodel the family home, reading to her grandchildren, and traveling to picturesque places on the Eastern Shore with family members who were new to the area.

Margaret will be laid to rest in a private ceremony next to her husband in the Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Ocean View, DE.
