AGE: 81 • Olde New Castle

Margaret Y. Wilhelm, 81, passed away Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015 surrounded by her family.

A native of Olde New Castle, Margaret was born in DuBois, PA. She graduated from William Penn High School class of 1952.

Margaret's family was her true pride and joy. She was generous with her time and talent. Her jovial spirit captivated everyone she met. Margaret enjoyed an active lifestyle through vacationing, road trips, and cheering on her beloved Phillies.

Margaret retired from Wilmington Trust Company after 32 years of service. She was a member of the Quarter Century Club with Wilmington Trust Company and bowled on their bowling league.

She was a member of New Castle United Methodist Church and its Philathea class and a member of Pythian Sisters Temple 5. Margaret also served on the finance committee, was a member of the N.C.U.M.C. Women, the altar guild and was a M.Y.F. leader and Sunday school teacher for several years. She also served on the Immanuel Dining Room Committee.

Margaret is predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Jean Hetrick and her brother, Gerald of Henderson, Nevada and her first born daughter, Theresa Ann.

Margaret is survived by sister, Jean Ann Miller (Andy) of New Castle, daughter, Linda Ann (Esposito) Hurd of Selbyville, DE, daughter, Denise Lingenfelter (Frank) of New Castle, daughter, Tina Anderson (Enoch) of Newark, son, Ken Esposito (Cecilia) of New Castle, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

The family would like to give thanks to the staff of Foulk Manor North for their compassionate care.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at New Castle United Methodist Church, 510 Delaware Street, New Castle, DE 19720 at 12 PM, friends and family may call at from 10 AM until 12 PM at N.C.U.M.C. The burial service will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Margaret may be made to New Castle United Methodist Church, 510 Delaware Street, New Castle, DE 19720.
