AGE: 86 • Wilmington, formerly of Newark

Margaret M. Wootten, 86 of Wilmington passed away peacefully on October 28, 2016 at Seasons Hospice surrounded by her family.

Margaret was born in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Helen (Haney) and Lawrence J. Dineen. She was a graduate of St. Elizabeth High School and was a homemaker who lived many years in Chestnut Hills Estates. She was a member of Holy Family Church and was extremely active in the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Margaret was a reading tutor at the Newark Library. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Lawrence Dineen and her husband, David W. Wootten in 1993.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Mary Anne Foran of Wilmington; her sons, David and his wife , Debbie of Georgetown, DE, Shawn of Chesapeake City, MD, Eric and his wife, Chris of Smyrna and Joseph of Bear; her 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Seasons Hospice for the great care they gave to Margaret.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 11 AM at Holy Family Church, 15 Gender Drive, Newark, DE 19713, where friends may call after 10 AM. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Holy Family Church. Mealeyfuneralhomes.com
