Michael S. Bolinski Obituary
Michael S. Bolinski

AGE: 47 • Earleville, MD

Michael Stanley Bolinski, 47, of Earleville, MD, loving and dedicated husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 16, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his wife and family in the home that he built.

Mike was born in Wilmington, Delaware and raised in Newark. He graduated from St. Mark's High School in 1986 and then attended Delaware Technical Community College receiving an Architectural Engineering Degree.

Mike was a strong person that lived life to the fullest. He was always ready for an adventure like skydiving, scuba diving, whitewater rafting, skiing, and boating. He loved spending time with his family and friends whether it was attending Nascar Races or football games as a die-hard Redskins fan. He especially loved going to Disney World where he was always a kid at heart. Holiday traditions were so important to him and having the whole family together to celebrate. His favorite place was out on the Bohemia River boating, tubing, and fishing with his family and friends.

He was an extremely devoted family man and married to his high school sweetheart and best friend, Patty, for 21 years. His children were his absolute pride and joy. There was nothing in life that gave him greater pleasure and pride than seeing his sons and daughter excel in everything they did. He loved coaching T-Ball and baseball with Chesapeake City Little League and coaching soccer for his sons, Michael and Conner. He cherished all the Father-Daughter dances he attended with his daughter, Carissa and beamed with pride when she danced at recitals. He never missed a sports game, a piano recital, or dance recital for his children. He was a true American patriot always teaching his children right from wrong and how to put God and family first. He took great pride in always helping others and dedicated his life to service in any way he could.

Mike had a passion for building and fixing things. He had an eye for detail and always wanted his work to be perfect. He loved living in the country and was so proud of the home he built for his family in Maryland. He showed this work ethic and used these skills as a home builder while working for K. Wolf Custom Homes, Bestfield Homes, and eventually his own homebuilding business.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; his sons, Michael and Conner; his daughter, Carissa; his mother, Rosemary P. Bolinski; his sister, Lisa M. Anderson; his father and mother in law, Joseph and Patricia Hoopes; and his numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins all holding a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred G. Bolinski; and an infant son.

The family wishes to thank Seasons Hospice, notably Brett, Yolanda, Jolene, and Irena.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Thursday, April 21 from 5:00-7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, Chestnut Hill and Gender Roads, Newark on Friday, April 22 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Galena Cemetery, Galena, MD.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to , 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 (shrinershospitalsforchildren.org) or The ASPCA, 424 E. 92nd Street, New York, NY 10128-6804 (aspca.org).
