Morris "Morrie" Weiler Obituary
Morris "Morrie" Weiler

Passed away April 29, 2016 just 45 minutes after he turned 89, surrounded by his family.

Morrie was forever a salesman. He sold industrial electrical equipment for over 30 years until his retirement in 2000. Morrie loved fishing, attending flea markets and garage sales, collecting tools and knives, traveling and enjoying a great glass of wine. He loved animals, especially birds of all kinds. Morrie was always there to help friends and family.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend to all. Morrie is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marilyn; daughter, Adriann Weiler Sax (Jeff); son, Steven Weiler (Janie Truitt); grandchildren, Jennifer and Thomas; nephew, Scott Weiler; nieces, Sharon, Wendy and Stacy; many loving great and great-great nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to the doctors and nurses of Wilmington Hospital and the Kutz Home for their loving care and support of Morrie during his final days.

A private graveside service will be Monday, May 2, 2016. Shiva will be observed 7:30 pm, Monday, May 2 and Tuesday, May 3 at the home of Adriann Sax. Shiva will also be observed 7:00 pm, Wednesday, May 4 and Thursday, May 5 at the home of Marilyn Weiler. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Talleyville Fire House EMTs, 3919 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803; the Raptor Trust - a premier wild bird rehabilitation sanctuary - 1390 Whitebridge Road, Millington, NJ 07946; or the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, 1600 Rockland Road, Wilmington, DE 19803.
