Nancy Tucker Obituary

Nancy J. Tucker

Age 75, of Wilmington, DE, died on May 20, 2011, after a long illness.

Born in Philadelphia, raised in Toughkenamon, Pennsylvania, she resided in Wilmington for 55 years. Nancy devoted her life to the care of her family and cooking for others, especially meatballs. Her favorite things were vacationing at the beach and visiting with grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle W. Tucker, who died in January 1989. She is survived by her four children, R. Martin and his wife Evelyn, Jeffrey D. and his wife Janet, Laura E. Tucker and her fiancé Shawn Carroll, and James K. Tucker; seven grandchildren, John McElrone, Jr., Jill Fox and husband Matthew, Ian Simpson and his wife Liz, Kylene Tucker and her fiancé Justin Woods, Jeremy and Jackie Tucker, and Matthew Carroll; three great -grandchildren; and Pepper.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Thursday, May 26, at 11 am. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11 am, on Thursday morning. Interment in Union Hill Cemetery, Kennett Square, PA.
