AGE: 72 • Wilmington

Nelson E. Titter passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 18, 2015.

Nelson was born in Wilmington, DE, the son of Roger P. and Myrtle Wilson Titter, and graduated from Dickinson High School. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 19 and worked for Forrest Sheet Metal for more than 30 years

Nelson was an avid golfer, played softball, and enjoyed many sports. Nelson was a 27 year season ticket holder for the Philadelphia Eagles and traveled to see the Eagles play at all 32 NFL stadiums. He was also a member of the Professional Football Ultimate Fan Association and participated in many charity events helping underprivileged children. He enjoyed spending time with his family at Hacks Point, MD, especially the 4th of July celebrations.

Nelson was preceded in death by his parents, Roger P. and Myrtle Wilson Titter and his brother, Roger P. Titter, Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Christine Titter Landis (Jim); Stephanie Phillips, his love of 37 years; nieces and nephews: Sandy Renman (Greg), Susan Green (Mike), Roger Titter (Maryella), and Christopher Barker (Maria); great-nieces and nephews: Lauren, Marissa, Jaime, Corey, Lexie, Dante, and Sara; and his brother, Ronald Titter and family.

A viewing will be held from 6-8pm, Tuesday, December 22 at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, where the funeral service will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, December 23, followed by interment at Silverbrook Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Nelson's name to 2 of his favorite charities: Relay for Life of Newark (benefitting the American Cancer Society), 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720 or J. Babe Stern Center (recreation facility for underprivileged children near the Football Hall of Fame), 2628 13th Street S.W., Canton, Ohio 44710.
